It seems like we’re moving more towards bi-weekly rather than weekly notes :D

2026-06-14

The last two weeks have been a bit more complicated since I resumed work; I have less energy to do things. So, not much as notes this week.

🛠️ Projects

Abbaye

Abbaye has advanced very well and has become quite comfortable to use. I just released version 0.4.0 in the last note, and we are now at version 0.7.0. I am particularly proud of the latest version, which includes the ability to navigate the target project’s code as well as clone its git repository.

Rather than a solution complementary to another tool, it is now possible to use Abbaye alone (well okay, with emails) to collaborate on projects. Not that this is the goal of Abbaye; other software does this much better. You can find images on the version announcement posts here for the git repository display and here for the new command-line interface display.

Soju

I installed the IRC bouncer soju, which was no small feat, especially getting file uploads to work in my setup which I find basic but seems to be a bit particular (nginx proxying http+stream irc to a Podman container running soju), given that no one could point out the problem during my calls for help on the IRC channel.

🎮 Played

I got back into Minecraft, which I launched with the Craftoria mod pack. It had been a very long time since I last played it. I return to Minecraft every 2-3 years, explore the updates of the same mods I’ve played for 10 years, and then move on to something else.
