Lots of fun projects this week! … But not much else.

🛠️ Projects
Abbaye
I’ve been doing a lot of work on Abbaye, a Static Site Generator (SSG) for software releases—a lightweight and efficient alternative for those who prefer not to use full-featured software forges, as I mentioned in my notes from May 31, 2026 and June 14, 2026.
I’ve also added support for multiple output formats (HTML and Gemtext) and improved the Git UI to make navigation links and branch/tag names directly clickable.
search_hub
I created search_hub, a bookmark search program inspired by search.technomancy.us, which has been extended with search forwarding features, supported by SearXNG. It has already replaced my default search engine in Firefox and Zen Browser. When fetching content from pages, I respect the robots.txt standard.

Local LLMs
I’ve started playing around with local LLMs via Ollama (using the llama3.2:3b model, which is about 2GB). I use them to generate my commit messages, as I can be a bit messy when editing: I sometimes fix things unrelated to my current task just by skimming through files. This helps me truly understand what went into each commit.
🎮 Played
No video games this week; it’s far too hot to be running a graphics card!
